One-Stop Guidance Center Visitor Statistics 2024

In 2024, approximately 203,000 young people visited the One-Stop Guidance Centers, which is reflected in the national visitor statistics collected by the KEHA Centre.

Visits by individual clients totalled 112,000, while 90,000 young people participated in group meetings. The total number of client visits is estimated to have increased by approximately 20,000 from 2023. A total of seven new Ohjaamo One-Stop Guidance Centers opened their doors in 2024, but this only partially explains the increase in the total number of clients, as the number of visits at the One-Stop Guidance Centers that have just opened is typically moderate. There has been an increase in both individual and group visits by young people. A more detailed examination of individual visits reveals that the increase is due to an increase in the number of young people first encountered in message and telephone services, whereas the number of visits by young people encountered by outreach and escorting has decreased. The number of visitors has remained the same.

Young people usually use One-Stop Guidance Center services in matters related to working life (34%), education and studies (33%), mental well-being (25%) and unemployment (24%). The young people who visited One-Stop Guidance Centers were mainly 18–24 years old (50%) or older (23% were between the ages of 25 and 30). In most cases, the highest completed qualification was the basic education certificate (24%), a vocational qualification (23%), or a matriculation examination (10%). The young people who visited the Centers were predominantly unemployed (48%) or students /subject to compulsory education (20%).

For more detailed background data and other results, see the One-Stop Guidance Center Visitor Statistics 2024 report. When examining the background data of young people, please note the relatively high prevalence of “not known” entries, which are explained by the fact that the One-Stop Guidance Centers can also be visited anonymously. One of the key emphases of the One-Stop Guidance Centers is to offer services to young people at a low threshold, which includes the possibility of anonymous visits.
